Qualifications
All
Upper School students from Class Ten to Class Twelve have the
opportunity to gain a double qualification.
All students attending New Zealand Rudolf Steiner Upper Schools enrol for the Christchurch Rudolf Steiner Schools Certificate. Our national qualification also incorporates the New Zealand NATIONAL CERTIFICATE IN EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT (NCEA).
Under the auspices of the FEDERATION OF RUDOLF STEINER WALDORF SCHOOLS IN NEW ZEALAND the
New Zealand Rudolf Steiner Schools have jointly developed a common
senior school assessment programme and some common assessment tasks
based on specific nationally and locally developed Achievement
Standards.
THE CHRISTCHURCH RUDOLF STEINER SCHOOLS CERTIFICATE (CRSSC)
is recognised and validated by the Federation. The structure and the
options available together with the credit system of the CRSSC are
adapted to our distinctive pedagogy. It offers more than one pathway
for students through their last three years of school. CRSSC is
predominantly internally assessed. The qualification encompasses all
that the student studies at school.
Levels 1, 2 and 3 are available for CRSSC, and levels 2 and 3 NCEA.
Graduating
students will therefore have both a nationally recognised state
qualification (equivalent to School Certificate, Sixth Form Certificate
and Bursary) and the Rudolf Steiner School Certificate Levels 1, 2 and
3 which we anticipate will eventually be NZQA accredited.
An individual school based CRSSC RECORD OF LEARNING
detailing all that they have achieved is maintained for all students.
Periodically the school reports student achievement to NZQA who also
maintain individual NCEA records of student learning.
Senior School options and details on the Qualification Pathway are available from the office in the Senior Studies Guide
