Proprietor's Trust
The Proprietor’s Trust is the watchful guardian of
our school’s Special Character.
It
provides funds and support to the school for Special Character
teachers’ training and also education of the under five year olds. For
Steiner/Waldorf schools the special character is the philosophical
background to the education, its implementation, learning environment
and organisation of the school.
Members
are nominated from within the group by consultation with the College of
Teachers. Presently the Trust meets on the second Monday evening of
every month at the school.
A
unique characteristics of the school organisation is the autonomy of
the teaching body to run the school as they collectively see fit,
within the restraints set by traditions, customs and legal obligations
in the country in which the school is operating.
The
trust owns and maintains the school’s site and buildings, members of
the Trust sit on the Board of Trustees and on a number of other
