Update from Caroline and COVID Red phase 2

Mōrena e te whānau – hello dear parents and friends,

I thought I would take this opportunity to connect with you again as we settle into Phase 2 of the public health response to Omicron.
The students and staff are managing the challenges of Term 1 with energy and empathy.
Classrooms are buzzing, and we are all out and about in the fresh air as much as possible. Pai rawa!

Parents, thank you for your co-operation and assistance in remaining away from the school site and fitting in with our drop-off and pick-up plans for the younger years.
I am happy to report that the routine is now well established, and no changes are needed.
Further to this, the new times of the school day are now fixed and working well for all children and young people.

I must ask that parents dropping off at Class 1 and KG ensure they are either wearing a mask or have an exemption on clear display. The number of adult mask wearers is dwindling for this age group, just at the point when we need masks even more than ever. Please do the right thing.
Further to that I respectfully ask too that you only deal with your own children at the classroom door, especially if you are not wearing a mask. Difficult times require clear boundaries. Thank you.

As already advertised, we have a full school operational plan on the school website for you to reference regarding all aspects of the day-to-day running of our school.

Should you need any additional information in relation to family health needs at this time, please use this Ministry of Health link for up-to-date information.
